Q: What if you are sick on the day of my wedding?
A: Unless I am on my death bed, I will be at your wedding. I have photographed weddings before and been sick. If I am chronically ill, then I have a group of 4 or 5 other photographers who can step in and take my place. In fact, I have taking wedding bookings for over 500 weddings, and not once have I called in sick. Check out my facebook reviews!
Q: Can you remove pimples, scares and acne?

Q: Can we get the RAW files?
A: I’m sorry, but I do not release the RAW images. They are far too large to transport, and you will need to pay around $200 a year to use a program just to view them.
Q: How long will it take to get my wedding photos?
A: You will receive your package in 2 parts. Within 4 to 6 weeks you will receive your USB with all of the edited wedding photographs. Once you have selected the photographs you would like for your photobook, it will take another 4 to 6 weeks for us to design and publish your photobook.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my style as natural. I like to allow the day to unfold naturally and not block the view of the guests. When it comes to the location photographs, I make sure my subjects are comfortable and their poses feel natural. I place a big emphasis on lighting and will ensure the bride and groom look their best. My editing style is again very natural. I do not do filters, selective colouring, or tilted horizons. You will however receive a number of black and white images on your USB.
Q: Can you provide a second photographer?
A: Although most weddings I photograph by myself, I am able to provide a second photographer. This will be an additional $500 for approx 4 hours. I normally prefer to do bride prep and groom prep myself so the wedding photographs remain consistent. The second photographer will usually start at the ceremony and finish during the reception
Q: How do we book your services?
A: A 20 percent deposit is required in order to hold your date. This is done via bank transfer. The balance of your wedding photography package is payable on the day of your wedding, however many client’s like to pay it a few weeks before hand.
Q: Can we choose the photos for the photobooks?
A: Yes. You may select up to 100 photographs from your USB to be used in the photobooks.
Q: How long do we need for location photographs?
A: This really depends on you. I try not to be the type of photographer that pushes the bride and groom to the point of exhaustion. I usually recommend between 60 and 90 minutes. This way we can take our time, do a number of different locations and poses.
Q: Do we really need a photographer for the whole reception?
A: This is a common question. I always recommend having a photographer for at least the cutting of the cake and the bride and groom dance. Anything else after that is a bonus. The main advantages of having a photographer stay right until the end is that you will get photograph’s of garter tossing, bouquet toss, fairwell circle, dancing shots etc
Q: When does “coverage” start?
A: Coverage will start when we arrive at the first location. Usually the groom’s house or the brides house or I can meet you at the ceremony.
Q: How many photos will we get on the USB?
A: This really depends on the wedding, how long the coverage is, how many people etc. The most we have delivered is approx 900 photos. On average around 600 to 800 edited photos for 8 hours of wedding photography coverage.
Q: Why are you so affordable?
A: I get asked this quite a lot. We are more affordable as I work from home, do all of our own marketing and editing. I pride myself on providing high quality wedding photography that will not break your budget. I recently got married myself, so I know how expensive weddings can be!
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: I cover Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay, Tamborine Mountain and Toowoomba at no extra cost. If your wedding is outside one of these areas, then a travel fee may apply. Ususally somewhere between $150 to $300.
I also cover weddings in Sydney, as I used to live there and know it very well. I am happy to photograph your wedding in Sydney, however there would be a $350 travel fee.
Q: Do we get the rights do the photos?
A: Yes. You will receive all edited images on a USB in low and high resolution. Many companies do not allow client’s to print their own photos, but with Lucas Kraus Photography you can print all the photos you want using the USB Flash drive.
