Ivona & Yanni – Brisbane – 08 AUGUST 2021

Greek Wedding in Brisbane

Yanni and Ivona were married on the 29th of May. It’s been quite a while since I’ve photographed a big (fat) Greek weeding. When I was based in Sydney, I used to do a lot of Greek weddings, but not so much in Brisbane.

Yanni and Ivona’s wedding was uninterrupted throughout the COVID period, unlike many other couples. Luckily, they had planned their wedding during the quiet time of the pandemic. They did however have to change their venue. They had a large number of guests at their wedding, sitting at around 90-100. Although, I hear many Greek weddings can have a lot more than this. They were married at Greek Orthodox Church of St George in Brisbane and had their reception at Olympic FC.

Coming into Winter, we were limited by time inbetween the ceremony and reception, and had around 45 minutes to complete the group photo, family photos, then scoot over to Kangaroo Cliff Park, so we had to work quickly. We managed to get some great photos overlooking Brisbane City, and caught golden hour as the sun is going down. Yanni and Ivona purchased by Deluxe Package, which comes with 10 hours of coverage + USB and 3 Albums (1 Main album and 2 parent albums)

It was a big day, however everything went smoothly and I wish Ivona and Yanni all the best into the future.
