Nikki and Nick – 23 MAY 2018
The Landing Dockside in Brisbane
One of the best things about moving state, is exploring new areas and checking out new venues. Being born and raised in Sydney, I knew the city inside and out and I had photographed nearly every venue at leas 2 or 3 times.
Being a wedding photographer in Brisbane, I am having a great time exploring this great city. Nikki and Nick were married at The Landing Dockside at Kangaroo Valley. A beautiful venue, nestled right by Brisbane River.
Nikki and Nick prepared for their big day within close proximity to The Landing Dockside which is always a wise decision as I have blogged about previously. They were married at 3:30pm so we got some great light during the ceremony.
I had to work fast at the Location shoot as the light was fading fast. Once we completed the family photos at around 4:15pm, I had about 45 minutes to get bridal party shots and portraits of Nikki and Nick.
Being a May wedding, it is coming into Winter and sunset is around 5pm. Once the sun dips below the horizon, you have about 10 to 15 minutes until it becomes to dark to photograph (often called Blue hour).
Nikki and Nick got one of my 10 hour packages, which allowed me to photograph everything from Bride/groom preperation right through to their sparkler exit. Please feel free to check out the photos below. If you are looking for a wedding photographer in Brisbane, then please visit our Contact Page.
