Linda and Daniel – 21 OCT 2017
Palazzo Versace in the Gold Coast
As a wedding photographer in the Gold Coast, this wedding provided both a challenge and excitement. Linda and Daniel were married at Southport Guardian Angels and had their reception at Palazzo Versace at Main Beach.
Daniel and Linda both prepared for their wedding in separate rooms at the Palazzo Versace and headed to Southport Guardian Angels for their wedding ceremony at 2pm. Southport Guardian Angels is one of those churches that is a joy to photograph, due to it’s white walls and roof and an abundance of light filtering in through the windows. Located within the heart of Southport, it provided easy access to and from the reception.
After the wedding ceremony, we conducted family photographs inside the church due to the rain and some quick portraits of the bride and groom and bridal party. We had originally planned to head over to Main Beach for the Location photographs, however we had to settle to do the photographs inside the Palazzo Versace. The Palazzo Versace is a beautiful venue, filled with glamour and sophistication. The building itself felt like a palace and the the service was outstanding.
Most of the inside photographs you see below are using off camera flash held by an assistant and I am pretty stoked how they turned out. I have always enjoyed photographing wedding portraits inside as I can use my off-camera flash and experiment with a number of different lighting solutions.
I wish Linda and Daniel all the best and thank them for allowing me to be apart of their big day.
